Health_: Another trip to the Hospital

I like driving at night - no other drivers on the road. Couldn't really enjoy this trip though. Ripley's breathing got shallow, laboured and wheezing. We started to worry and so called an NHS Direct nurse (0845 4647 - man I love the UK health system - seriously). They were really helpful and put me through to a doctor. He was great and asked us to pop in and see him at 3:30am! We did. Ripley just has a bad virus that is making his breathing bad. We have to keep an eye on him. It is quite upsetting to see him ill, but that is all part of growing up. I wasn't too worried - Penny was. I guess that is a mothers right ;) (too late in the day to spell perogative (?) ). The doctor said we were right to bring him in - which made us feel less like neurotic parents. Anyway - 4:30am now - I feel like crap and have to get up for work in a bit. Of course I can't sleep now, to hyped up. US thanksgiving holiday tomorrow so I can look forward to an increased work load from my US office too! Life has a habit of some quite appauling timing.
